I was born and raised near Porto, Portugal. I moved to New York in my teens and received a BA in Art Education from Montclair State University. Currently, I am based in northern New Jersey.
I use large canvases because I enjoy the physical challenge of painting in a grand scale. It makes me move around a canvas with single strokes. The results are long, contour lines with curves that are consistent elements in my paintings.
